Overview of programme:
This training is aimed at people who have previously experienced Action Learning and who wish to learn the art and skills required to become an Action Learning Facilitator.
The training is practical and immersive and aims to increase your confidence, build on your existing facilitation skills and provide you with a safe space to put your learning into practice.
You will learn:
- The purpose and principles that underscore Action Learning
- The Action Learning process and how to apply this
- The skills, knowledge and approach required to become an Action Learning Facilitator
- Additional Peer Coaching methods for supporting participants who may struggle with or be resistant to the Action Learning process
Across the seven sessions you and your peers will be given opportunities to practice your Action Learning Facilitation skills through real time Action Learning sessions and receiving supportive feedback to develop your practice.
What are the benefits of Action Learning?
Action Learning is a powerful process through which individuals can explore challenges, issues and opportunities and, through the use of open questioning by their peers, can unlock ways forward that are meaningful and achievable for themselves, their teams and their organisations. Action Learning aims to:
- Empower individuals to develop problem solving and decision-making skills
- Develop coaching conversations instead of advice giving
- Provide space to process and be creative in ones thinking
- Enhance collaborative working
- Develop an awareness of how an individual’s beliefs, behaviours and assumptions can impact on decision-making
- Develop an individual’s ability to reflect on individual and group learning
- Create individuals and teams who feel empowered to problem-solve together to create immediate and meaningful improvements
