Why we’re no longer posting on X / Twitter

At the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE), we’re committed to fostering communities that are inclusive, supportive, and purposeful. Over the years, X / Twitter has been one of the spaces where we’ve connected with Fellows, recruited students, and joined important conversations and debates. It’s been a valuable tool for amplifying the voices of social entrepreneurs who are committed to change.

While X / Twitter has helped us reach many, it’s no longer a platform that we want to be part of.

Our mission is to create safe, supportive spaces for people from all backgrounds—especially those facing systemic barriers in social entrepreneurship. X / Twitter’s climate no longer aligns with our vision. Harmful rhetoric, divisive content and misinformation have become commonplace. For SSE, this shift goes against our fundamental values.

So, we’re focusing on other channels and platforms where we can foster positive, purposeful interactions that reflect our values. We’re investing in spaces where we can engage with Fellows, students, and partners in ways that are respectful and empowering.

SSE remains dedicated to supporting social entrepreneurs and driving systemic change—just not on X / Twitter. We encourage our community to stay connected with us through our website, our newsletter and our other channels, where we’ll keep sharing resources, insights, and opportunities to create positive social impact.

For the time being, we’ll leave our account as an archive that can be accessed as a resource but we will no longer be posting.
